The Main Control bar contains the Run, Single, Auto Setup, Mode, and Select controls.

Run	Starts or stops continuous data acquisition.
Single	Acquires a single sweep acquisition.
Auto Setup	Configures the scope for the best timebase, volts per division, and trigger setting for each channel selected with the channel selector.
Mode	Toggles the scope between V–T (volts versus time) mode and X–Y mode.
Select	Choose which objects you select on the graph. Then the measurements that display below the graph are derived only from the region or point(s) that you have selected. Cursor Mode—Allows you to move cursors, including the trigger cursor. Plot Mode—Allows you to select a section of a waveform. IVI Soft Front Panels—Scope uses this section for measurement calculations and saves this portion to disk, if you choose "Save selection only" when you save a waveform. When you choose Plot mode of the Select control, a portion of the graph turns green. To increase or decrease the width of this selection area, click and drag one of the edges of the green band.
