Using AutoMovie
AutoMovie helps you quickly create a movie by automatically creating a movie based on the selected clips or collection. This helps you quickly create a movie automatically. AutoMovie analyzes the current video, pictures, and music, and combines the different elements to make one movie based on the automatic editing style you choose.
To use AutoMovie, the following must be true:
- A collection or multiple clips must be selected in the Collections pane or Contents pane respectively.
- The current selection must contain video and/or pictures that have a combined duration of at least 30 seconds. Each picture has a duration of 6 seconds.
- An audio clip must be at least 30 seconds long.
After you create an AutoMovie, you can choose to save it as a movie using the Save Movie Wizard or you can choose to make further edits to your movie, just as you would when creating a project and movie on your own in Windows Movie Maker.
When you choose to create a movie automatically, AutoMovie proceeds as follows:
- Select an AutoMovie editing style you want to use for your movie. For more information about selecting an AutoMovie editing style, see Selecting an AutoMovie editing style.
- Enter text for the title of your movie. For more information about entering title text, see Entering title text.
- Select an audio or music file to be used as the background music for your movie. For more information about selecting music for your movie, see Selecting background music.
