To automatically download uninstalled codecs
- On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the General tab.
- Select the Download codecs automatically check box.
Codecs are installed automatically without any user intervention if this check box is selected. Therefore, if you want to be prompted or notified when an uninstalled codec needs to be downloaded and installed on your computer, clear this check box.
