Diffuse Map

In Vanda Engine 1, a diffuse map is a texture you use to define a surface's main color. So in Vanda Engine, a diffuse and color map are the exact same thing.

Diffuse Map. (A) Left image shows the VScene without Diffuse Map. (B) Right image shows the same VScene with Diffuse Map applied to all instanced geometries.

To apply a Diffuse Map to a skin or geometry, follow these steps:
·    Select the skin or instanced geometry you want to apply Diffuse Map to its geometry. Now the Diffuse... button in Material Editor is activated.
·    Click the button or go to Modify | Geometry | Material... menu.
·    Click the Diffuse... button. This opens a standard File dialog that lets you select a DDS file.
·    Select your desired Diffuse Map and Click Open.

To remove a Diffuse Map from a skin or geometry, follow these steps:
·    Select the skin or instanced geometry.
·    Click the button or go to Modify | Geometry | Material... menu.
·    Now select the - button next to the Diffuse button.
·    In a new dialog box that appears, click Yes button.
