Glossary Item Box
The obstetric node in the clinical profile will only be visible if you have authorization for it and the patient is a female over 11 years of age.
This screen consists of a grid at the top which shows the obstetric history of the patient.
An active pregnancy is in a RED colour at the top of the grid.
Past pregnancies are in BLACK and they follow underneath.
Brief pathology results and ultrasound reports can be entered into this form.
The progressive antenatal notes of the patient will fill the grid underneath if an active pregnancy is selected on the grid at the top.
Context Menu in Obstetric
Add new pregnancy
Entering the LNMP will add a new pregnancy for the patient.
This data can be edited again at a later date if the information needs to be revised. Once this information is saved, you can then begin adding pregnancy notes.
Scan date – You can input a scan date in a situation whereby the LNMP is unknown and the system will calculate an EDC by scan. If you check the ‘Use scan date for EDC’ then the gestation in the pregnancy notes will be calculated based on the scan EDC.
Add pregnancy notes
After the system creates a new pregnancy then sequential antenatal notes can be recorded by opening a new form. To do this R click the active pregnancy record which is now in RED.
click on add notes and this next form will appear.
Complete a pregnancy
Once the lady has her baby, the pregnancy can be marked "completed" by R clicking the grid and marking complete.
When the completed option is selected another form comes into view and this provides a place where details of the confinement can be entered, including basic details for the baby (babies).
Marking a pregnancy complete cannot be undone and no more records will be allowed to be added to that pregnancy after it is completed. |
