Adding Appointment

 

1/ Click once on a suitable time on the appointment screen.

2/ Type the name of the patient in the format (lastname, firstname) or just a few letters of each of the last name and first name separated by a comma - then hit the enter key.

 

Hit "Esc" to abort this process. 

 

 

 
 

If a matching patient is found in the database, then a list of patients opens on the search form.

Select a patient by :-

 

1/ double click the selected patient
2/ clicking once on the selected patient and hit enter.
3/ scroll with the down arrow key onto the selected patient and hit enter . 

 
The appointment will be created for the patient on the appointment screen.

 

 


 

If the search does not match any patient in the database, then the system will prompt you to either go ahead and register this patient name as a new patient or create the appointment with a temporary patient name (a patient who is not registered in the system).

 

 

 

You can also create a temporary patient appointment by clicking the “Temp” button in the Patient search screen if the “lastname” entered makes a match with a patient already in the database but is not the one you were looking for.

 

Hit "Esc" on the keyboard to cancel the addition of the appointment.

 

Adding an appointment is not permitted in the Week View and Month View mode of the Appointment Schedule. For more information please take a look at "Appointment Screen Features"
