Digital Sentry Reports

Several types of reports can be viewed from DS ControlPoint:

Camera Usage Report: Displays recording activity (per camera and per day) in terms of the amount of disk space used for storage.

Activity Report: Displays the user or administrator activity by date/time, user name, and IP address depending on the user report selected.

Configuration Report: Displays all configuration changes for VAUs, cameras, camera groups, zones, users, and other configuration parameters.

Zone/VAU Report: Shows how zone alarms and VAUs are configured.

Reports can be viewed using a browser or they can be printed.

To generate a report:

1. Select the Digital Sentry Reports tab located on the Setup page (refer to Figure 2). The Digital Sentry Reporting dialog box appears.

2. Click the Browse button to select the directory location for the DS report, and then click the Next button. A dialog box appears that instructs you to select the system(s) on which to run a report (refer to Figure 24).

3. Select a system(s) from the Available Systems list and click the Add button (>>) to add it to the Existing Systems list.

4. Click the Next button. A dialog box appears to configure the report settings for the system.

5. Select a report type from the drop-down list.

6. Select the report format: PDF or HTML.

7. Select “Use configuration for all systems” if you want to reserve these settings for future reports.

8. Select the time period for the report using the From and To calendars or by selecting the Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, or Last 30 days button.

9. Click the Next button. A dialog box appears to generate the report.

10. Click the Finalize button. The report will appear in the directory location that you set up in step 2.

11. Click the Close button to close the Digital Sentry Reporting dialog box.
