Creating a Customized FTP Shortcut

You can use the command line window to set up a custom FTP shortcut that automatically starts FTP, connects to the FTP server(s), and loads a specific FTP settings file.

To create a customized FTP shortcut:

  1. In Windows Explorer, click the program folder to which you want to create a shortcut.
  2. On the File menu, select New and click Shortcut.
  3. In the Command line box, type home\accessories\ftp settings.fs:

where:
    • home is the directory in which you installed your Hummingbird Product. The default directory is C:\program files\hummingbird\connectivity\version, whereversion is the version number of your Hummingbird product.
    • settings.fs is the FTP settings file you want to use.
  1. Click Next.
  2. Type the name of your shortcut, then click Finish.
