Using the Hummingbird Basic Scripting Tool

Hummingbird Basic lets you create scripts that automate routine tasks. In addition to the Hummingbird Basic Language, a set of FTP API functions can be incorporated into a script to access and control FTP.

To access the Hummingbird Basic scripting tool:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Load Hummingbird Basic Script File.
  2. Select a file and click Open to access the Hummingbird Basic scripting tool.

OR

Click New to write a new Hummingbird Basic script file.

You can also debug and run a script using the scripting tool. The scripting tool differs from Hummingbird Basic Workbench in that only one file can be open at a time. If Hummingbird Basic is installed, refer to Hummingbird Basic Help for more information.
