Using FTP Prompt Commands
FTP prompt commands are commands that you type on the FTP command line window. To open a command line window, click New Command Line Window on the Window menu.
You can group these commands into two categories of file operations:
- Local file operations are operations that you perform on your PC, such as deleting a file.
- Remote file operations are operations that you perform on the FTP server.
Local operations and remote operations require different commands.
Most of the functionality provided by these commands is available on the FTP menus.
