Configuration
Use the Enterprise Manager to add a SQL Server to a SQL Server group. Do the following.
- Click Enterprise Manager in the Microsoft SQL Server menu. The menu path is StartProgramsMicrosoft SQL Server.
- Click the + to expand the node labeled Microsoft SQL Servers in the Console Root pane.
- Click New SQL Server Registration from the pop-up menu accessed by right-clicking on the SQL Server Group node in the Console Root pane. As a result the Register SQL Server Wizard window is displayed. Click Next.
- Select a server from the list of available servers and click Add. Click Next.
- Use the default Windows Authentication. Click Next.
- Accept the default. This adds the server that you selected to the default server group called SQL Server Group. Click Next. Click Finish. A dialog is displayed saying that the registration has been completed.
