Handling Output Files for Deployment Projects

For deployment projects, the wizard places all generated files in the output folder that you specify in the HTML Directory Path box on the Web Server Information screen. You have two options with this specification:

  • You can make the output folder a non-web server directory, such as a folder on your local machine. If you choose this option, you need to copy or FTP all of the generated files from this output folder to the web server directory.
  • You can map the output directory on your web server to a Windows drive letter, and specify the relative path (with the drive letter) in the HTML Directory Path box. If you choose this option, you do not need to copy or FTP any generated files, since the wizard automatically places them in this location.
