Save changes to a PivotTable list

If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later, changes that you make to the PivotTable list are retained during the browser session, even when you return to the PivotTable list after viewing other Web pages. However, if you reopen the Web page — for example, by clicking the Internet Explorer address bar and pressing ENTER — your changes will be lost.

To make changes to a PivotTable list and save your changes in a file, open the PivotTable list in a design program such as Microsoft FrontPage or Microsoft Access.

You can also export the PivotTable list to a Microsoft Excel PivotTable report, and then save the Excel report. For more information, see Excel Help.
