About working with PivotTable lists in different browsers
To work with interactive PivotTable lists in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 and later, you must have the Microsoft Office Web Components installed and an appropriate Microsoft Office XP license. If you don't have an Office XP license, you can install the components and view them on a Web page, but you cannot interact with them.
Following are the levels of browser support available if you have the Office Web Components installed and an Office XP license.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and later
In this browser, you have access to all PivotTable list features that are accessible from a browser. Changes you make, such as formatting and layout changes, are retained when you leave a PivotTable list and browse back to it later in the same browser session.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01, 4.1x, and 4.2x
You have access to all PivotTable list features accessible from a browser. Changes are retained when you leave a PivotTable list and browse back to it later in the same browser session. You must have Internet Explorer 5 installed to view PivotTable lists on data access pages created in Microsoft Access.
In earlier versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and in other browsers, you cannot view PivotTable lists. A PivotTable list either appears as an outlined box on the Web page or does not appear at all.
