Specific games | Previous Top Next |
Several games require specific command line options, plugins or hints before they'll run at all. In this part of the help file, we try to keep a list of these games and informations how you can get them to work. Possible requirements are :
Specific version
It is possible, that only certain regions of a game are working with ePSXe. A popular example would be Final Fantasy 9 - while the NTSC J (japan) and NTSC U/C (USA) are running just fine, all PAL versions require patches, which are only available for some versions.

Cheats
Games like Tomb Raider for example require you to apply a cheat in ePSXe's internal cheat function, before it's able to run them. This can, for example, be caused by memory problems or other issues.

Command line switches
Games like Parasite Eve 2 require you to run ePSXe with a certain command line switch (in this case this would be ePSXe.com -pe2 for example) in order to run. While this applies a rather game specific fix, it's also possible that you need general fixes.

Specific plugins
Last but not least, some games only run correctly/at all when you're using a certain plugin, which contains a special fix. To learn more about these plugins, make sure to check out the Getting started section in this help.
