System Requirements

The system requirements for installing TRAVERSE Server and Client are as follows:

Network and Hardware Requirements

Hardware and software requirements are constantly changing. The requirements listed below are minimum requirements. Open Systems recommends using as fast a processor as possible. Please remember that RAM requirements increase with the number of users. Current hardware and software requirements can also be found on our website at www.osas.com.

TRAVERSE Server Manager Business Edition:

• Pentium 450 Mhz (or equivalent)

• 256 MB RAM

TRAVERSE Server Manager Enterprise Edition:

• Pentium 1 Ghz and 512 MB RAM for the first five users and 128 MB RAM for each additional 10 users.

Software Requirements

You will need one of the following to install TRAVERSE Server and Client:

Server Software

TRAVERSE Business Edition

• SQL Database Edition - 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000). Included with TRAVERSE Business Edition.

  Operating System - Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0 (Workstation or Server), Windows 2000 (Professional or Server), Windows XP (Professional).

TRAVERSE Enterprise Edition

• SQL Database Edition - 7.0 Standard

  Operating System - Windows NT 4.0 (Server or Enterprise), Windows 2000 (Server or Advanced Server), Windows XP (Professional).

• SQL Database Edition - 7.0 Enterprise

  Operating System - Windows NT 4.0 (Enterprise), Windows 2000 (Advanced Server), Windows XP (Professional)

• SQL Database Edition - 2000 Standard or 2000 Enterprise

  Operating System - Windows NT 4.0 (Server or Enterprise), Windows 2000 (Server or Advanced Server), Windows XP (Professional)

• SQL Database Edition - 2000 Developer

  Operating System - Windows NT 4.0 (Workstation, Server or Enterprise), Windows 2000 (Professional, Server or Advanced Server), Windows XP (Professional)

TRAVERSE Business or Enterprise Edition

• MS Access Version - 2000 (Office 2000) - full version or run-time.

  Operating System - Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0 (Workstation or Server), Windows 2000 (Professional or Server), Windows XP (Professional).

• MS Access Version - 2002 (Office XP) - Full version or run-time (Run-time included with TRAVERSE).

  Operating System - Windows 98 SE, Windows NT 4.0 (Server or Enterprise), Windows 2000 (Professional, Server or Advanced Server), Windows XP (Professional).
