  • Allow Access to TRAVERSE -- Clear to remove a group or group member’s access to TRAVERSE.

  1. In the Database Permissions box, select the company database check boxes to which you want the group or group member assigned. For more information on groups, see Groups and Users.

The security measures in Microsoft SQL Server include several predefined roles with implied permissions. If you have users who require these permissions, you must add their accounts to these predefined roles. Fixed server roles, which cannot be created, are defined at the server level and exist outside of individual databases.

  1. Select the predefined roles you want to assign to the new login. A brief role definition appears in the list box near the bottom of the window.

  2. Click Apply to create the new login. Once the login is created, the cursor appears in the Name text box for creating another login.

Click OK to create the new login and return to the Server Manager main window. Click Cancel to cancel the action and return to the Server Manager main window.
