Product ID Update

With TRAVERSE Server Manager, the product ID is stored on the server, not on the individual workstations. When new applications or new licenses are purchased, a new product ID is issued from Open Systems, Inc. Use the Product ID function to apply the new product ID for all users.

To update the product ID for all users, follow these steps:

  1. From the Server Manager main window, click the Product ID button Product ID Button from the main toolbar. A message box appears asking, “Would you like to update the Product ID for all users?”

  2. Click Yes. The Product ID Validation dialog box appears.

  3. Enter the new product ID in the Product ID text box.

  4. If you obtained TRAVERSE through Subscription Licensing, the Product ID Validation dialog box also displays a Subscription Key text box. Enter your subscription key number.

    Subscription Licensing enables startup companies and those with limited financial resources to obtain TRAVERSE without paying the total cost up front. Subscription Licensing users make monthly payments enabling them to obtain additional applications or add more users to make their system more efficient.

  5. Click OK to update.
