Use Fringe Removal to minimize the appearance of a "chromatic aberration", a phenomenon which is caused by the sampling timing difference of Red, Green and Blue sensors when the document is scanned. When you apply the Fringe Removal filter, the effect is applied to the whole image, and you cannot apply it to the selection. You can apply the Fringe Removal to the color image only. - To apply the Fringe Removal filter, check the Fringe Removal check-box. Chromatic aberration artifacts are detected and removed automatically.
