Use Descreen to minimize the appearance of unsightly interference patterns (moire patterns) which may occur in your image file when scanning original documents created by a halftone process. With Descreen you can minimize the transfer of moire patterns into your image file and avoid the checkered, banded, or dotted appearance. When you apply the Descreen filter, the effect is applied to the whole image, and you cannot apply it to the selection. - To apply the Descreen filter, check the Descreen check-box. Halftone regions are detected and moire effect is removed automatically.
