Properties dialog box - General tab
These properties pertain to the entire active document.
| Option | Description |

| Type | Indicates the file type, which is Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), the only supported file type. |
| Location | Indicates the location of the file on the disk. |
| Size | Shows the size of the file in bytes. Remains blank if the file has not been saved. |
| MS-DOS name | The name of the file as it appears as an "8.3" name in an MS-DOS window, where "8" indicates the eight-character file name and "3" indicates the three-character file type extension, in this case .tif. |
| Created | Time and date that the file was first saved. |
| Modified | Time and date that the file was last saved. |
| Accessed | Time and date that the file was last opened. |
| Attributes | MS-DOS file attributes include Read-only, Archive, Hidden, and System. |
