Preset Options dialog box - Output tab

Use this dialog box to specify settings for saving and naming files created by Microsoft Office Document Scanning.

Option Description
Save in folder Specifies the current location for saving files. The default location is the My Documents folder.
Change Click to change the current location for saving files.
Auto name based on first words on page Select to create file names based on the first few words of text extracted using optical character recognition (OCR).
Auto number Select to create sequentially numbered file names.
Date and time Select to create file names containing the date and time of scanning.
Format Specifies the format to be used for file names generated by using date and time.

Note   If you want to use the Auto name based on first words on page option, you must select the Use OCR to recognize the text of the scanned image check box on the Processing tab.
