Options dialog box

This dialog box controls various Microsoft Office Document Imaging settings.

The first three options control optical character recognition (OCR) settings when you are using the Recognize Text Using OCR command on the File menu.

Option Description
Auto rotate Select this check box to detect the orientation of text on the page and rotate page images that are upside down or sideways.
Auto straighten Select this check box to detect the orientation of text on the page and correct any slightly misaligned pages.
OCR Language Lists the available languages for OCR. Select the language you want to use.
Reset Click to specify Office Document Imaging as the default application used to open Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) files.
Indexing Service Click to open the Indexing Service dialog box.

Note   Documents scanned at resolutions greater than 900 dots per inch (dpi) will be converted to 900 dpi if Auto rotate or Auto straighten is selected.
