Keyboard shortcuts

You can carry out commands in Microsoft Office Document Imaging using the keyboard instead of the mouse.

Keys for editing

CTRL+A: Select all text and images on the current page
CTRL+SHIFT+A: Select all pages in the current document
CTRL+C: Copy the selected text
CTRL+I: Copy the selected area as a bitmap image
CTRL+X: Cut the selected page
CTRL+SHIFT+C: Copy the selected page
CTRL+V: Paste a copied or cut page. If an image was copied, the image is pasted on a new page.
DELETE: Delete the selected pages

Keys for file operations

CTRL+N: Create a new, empty document
CTRL+O: Display the Open dialog box
CTRL+S: Save the document
CTRL+P: Print the document
CTRL+T: Export all text to Microsoft Word

Keys for navigating and using Help

The TAB key: Switch between the page pane and thumbnail pane
Ctrl+E: Move to the Page box in the toolbar. Press F6 to move back to the thumbnail pane or page pane.
Ctrl+M: Move to the Zoom box in the toolbar. Press F6 to move back to the thumbnail pane or page pane.
CTRL+G: Display the Go To dialog box
CTRL+F: Display the Find dialog box
F1: Display the Help window

Keys for navigating in the page pane

PAGE UP: Scroll up one screen
PAGE DOWN: Scroll down one screen
Arrow keys: Scroll the page in that direction
HOME: Move to the top of the page
END: Move to the bottom of the page
CTRL+HOME: Move to the first page
CTRL+END: Move to the last page

Keys for navigating in the thumbnail pane

SPACEBAR: Move to the next page
BACKSPACE: Move to the previous page
PAGE UP: Scroll up one page
PAGE DOWN: Scroll down one page
Arrow keys: Scroll the window in that direction
HOME: Move to the first page
END: Move to the last page

Keys for navigating in Reading view

F11: Switch to Reading view
SPACEBAR or PAGE DOWN: Move to the next section
BACKSPACE or PAGE UP: Move to the previous section
UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW: Scroll the page in that direction
LEFT ARROW: Move to the previous page
RIGHT ARROW: Move to the next page
HOME: Move to the top of the page
END: Move to the bottom of the page
CTRL+HOME: Move to the first page
CTRL+END: Move to the last page
ESC: Return to the page pane
