Split a document

Use this procedure to divide multi-page documents into smaller or more meaningful pieces.

In the thumbnail pane, select a page that you want to move to a new document.
- If you want to move several pages in a series, hold down SHIFT and click the last thumbnail in the series.
- If you want to move pages not in a series, hold down CTRL and click each additional thumbnail.
On the Edit menu, click Move Pages to New File.

Right-click any selected thumbnail, and then click Cut Pages on the shortcut menu.
On the File menu, click New.
Right-click in the thumbnail pane of the new document, and then click Paste Pages on the shortcut menu.
