Miscellaneous Configurations - General

Load TrackMap on .chp Load CheckBox

If checked, the TrackMap will be displayed after loading a Project containing a MidiFile.

Send AllNotesOff after Sustain Up CheckBox

This is normally unchecked. However, if you find some notes are not switched off after releasing the sustain pedal or SwitchKey, you can set this to send a midi AllNotesOff message to the synthesizer.

ToolTips Active CheckBox

If checked, ToolTips will be shown over window components.

Note: This will take effect immediately, except for menu items that require the application to be restarted.

Prompt to Save Settings on Exit CheckBox

Check to show a window with options to save or not save the .ini configuration files. Otherwise, the ini files are always saved.

Disable AutoSync on Audio Play CheckBox

Check to disable automatic audio synchronisation.

This will allow you to use manual chord or bar/beat synchronisation on a synchronised audio (.mp3) file.

Undo/Redo Capacity Numeric Input

Sets the maximum number of events allowed in the Undo or Redo stacks.

When this limit is reached, the oldest event will be removed.

This change will be effected when:

ChordMap Undo/Redo: ChordMap is reloaded.

AudioSync Undo/Redo: Project is reloaded.

Lyrics Undo/Redo: Lyrics window is reloaded.

Reset Settings Button

This will rename all Ini files to Ini.BU, overwriting any existing Ini.BU files.

It will then restart the application, using default values.

You should use this if you want to reset all global parameters to their default values.

Restore Settings Button

This will rename all Ini.BU files to Ini, overwriting any existing Ini files.

It will then restart the application, using the new Ini files

You should use this if you want to restore all global parameters from a copy saved after the last time they were set to their default values.

Chord Config Button

Open a window to configure the chord generation parameters.

This is an advanced feature that you normally do not need to use, but you are welcome to try changing some of these parameters to see what effect it has!

Any changes can be saved to the ChotdCfg.ini file, and you can always reset back to the default values (factory settings).

Chord Ranks Button

Configure chord ranks. These are weightings that usually favour simple chords over complex chords in the chord generation process.
