PlayMap Colours

This window can be used to set the colours used by the PlayMap.

You should try to set these colours in order to enhance the readability of the PlayMap. This is a personal preference, as everybody has a different perception of colours and contrast.

Some of these colours may overlap each other, so be sure to check what the ChordMap looks like after changing a colour!

Configurable Colours

The colours set by this window are:

  • Main Background:

    The main background colour.

  • Black Key:

    Colour representing a black key on the midi keyboard.

  • Chord Note:

    Fill colour for a note that is part of the chord.

  • Root Note:

    Fill colour for the root note of the chord.

    This is only used if Capitalize Root Notes option is set.

  • Dominant Note:

    Fill colour for the dominant note of the chord.

    This is only used if Capitalize Root Notes option is set.

  • Note:

    Note text (Solfa or Pitch) colour.

  • Track Note:

    Fill colour for a track note (as opposed to chord note).

  • Bottom Background:

    Background colour of bottom row (scale notes).

  • Played Note:

    Colour of filled circle showing currently played note or notes.

  • Current Background:

    Background colour of current note row.

  • Scale:

    Scale text colour (bottom row).
