Starting a Command Line Trace

To start a command line trace:

  1. On the Windows Start menu, click Run.
  2. Browse to the following location:

C:\Program Files\Hummingbird\Connectivity\version\HostExplorer\HostEx32.exe

where version is the version number of your Hummingbird product.
  1. Add the following command line option:

-d
  1. To run the trace with an existing profile, add the following command line option:

-p
  1. Add the profile name and folder name separated by a dot. For example:

profile.folder

The following is an example of the full command line syntax:

“C:\Program Files\Hummingbird\Connectivity\version\HostExplorer\HostEx32.exe” –d –p profile.folder
