Configuring an SCC Connector Block
To configure an SCC connector block, complete the following steps:
- Expand Devices and Interfaces»NI-DAQmx Devices.
If you are using a remote RT target, expand Remote Systems, find and expand your target, and expand Devices and Interfaces»NI-DAQmx Devices.
- Right-click the SCC connector block you want to configure. Select Properties.
- The SCC Connector Block Configuration window opens with the following configuration settings:
SCC Carrier Type (SC-2345 only)
Select one of the following connector block types from the SCC Connector Block Type drop-down listbox:
White Connector Block, Rear Connector
Black Connector Block, Side Connector (default value)
Black Connector Block, Rear Connector
Cabled Device
Select a detected DAQ device from the DAQ Device drop-down listbox.
SCC Connector Block ID
Enter a unique alphanumeric name as an ID to identify this SCC connector block in applications. MAX rejects any name with invalid characters, such as punctuation.
Cabled Device Connector
If the cabled device is an M Series device with more than one connector, select the connector cabled to the SCC connector block.
Scan for TEDS (SC-2350 only)
Click to scan the connector block for transducer electronic data sheet (TEDS)-compatible SCC modules. MAX populates slots with detected modules.
- Click OK when you are finished.
