Narrow your search by specifying file types

After completing a search, you can specify the type of file that you want to narrow your results.

In the Microsoft Windows Desktop Search results window, under the search box, click the type of item you want to see. To see more categories, click Other.

You can also specify where you want Windows Desktop Search to search for files to narrow your search.

Under the search box, click All locations, and then click the search location that you want.
