Find a word or phrase inside a file or e-mail message

  1. In the Microsoft Windows Desktop Search results window, click the document or e-mail item you want to search.
  2. Under the Windows Desktop Search logo, click Options Desktop Search options button, point to Preview Pane, and then click Find.
  3. Type your search words, and then click Find Next.

Note

You must have the preview pane enabled to search for a word or phrase. For more information about preview pane options, see Change how results are displayed.
