To enter characters for these languages, use one of the following operating systems:

• Any language version of Microsoft Windows 2000   If you are running a language version of Windows 2000 that doesn't match the language that you want to type, you must first install support for the language. In addition, you must use an Input Method Editor (IME) to enter text.
• Any language version of Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0   If the language version of your operating system is the same as the language you want to type, language support and IMEs are built in by default.

  If the language version of your operating system doesn't match the language you want to type, install an IME to enter text.
