Get Help for Visual Basic for Applications

- In order to do this procedure, programming Help must be installed.
- If you didn't install programming Help when you installed Microsoft Office XP or your Office program, just reinstall Office and choose Add or Remove Features.
- Click the expand indicator (+) next to Office Tools.
- Click the Visual Basic Help icon, and then choose the installation option you want.
- On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Visual Basic Editor.
- In the Office Assistant balloon, type the method, property, function, statement, or object you want Help on, or type a query.
If the Office Assistant isn't visible, on the Help menu, click Show Office Assistant.
If the Office Assistant balloon isn't visible, click the Assistant.
- Click Search, and then click the topic you want.

To browse through a list of all Microsoft Visual Basic methods, properties, functions, and objects for a particular Microsoft Office program in the Visual Basic Editor, click Object Browser on the Standard toolbar. In the list of libraries, click the library for the program you want. For Help on an item, click the item and then click the question mark button in the Object Browser dialog box.
- To display Help for the Visual Basic Editor, click Microsoft Visual Basic Help on the Help menu.
