InterfaceDef Ancestor Collection
This collection specifies the one base interface from which this interface derives. You use Ancestor collections to define inheritance.
Syntax
Set variable = object.Ancestor(index)
The Ancestor collection syntax has the following parts.

| variable | A variable declared as an InterfaceDef object. It receives the specified base interface definition. |
| object | An object expression that evaluates to an InterfaceDef object. |
| index | An integer index that identifies which element in the collection is to be addressed. The valid range is from one to the number of elements in the collection. The number of elements in the collection is specified by object.Ancestor.Count. For more information, see Selecting Items in a Collection. |
