Show or hide detail data for an item or field

  1. In the design window, make sure the PivotTable list is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To show or hide detail data for a cell, or an item at the lowest level, select the item or cell.

    • To show or hide detail data for a row or column field, select the row or column field.
  3. Click Show Details Button image or Hide Details Button image on the toolbar.

Notes

  • To show or hide lower-level items, select the row or column field or item, and then click Expand Button image or Collapse Button image on the toolbar.
  • If you don't want users to display detail data, you can restrict access to detail in the browser.
