Show or hide the toolbar

Office PivotTable

Show or hide the toolbar

  1. In the design window, make sure the PivotTable list is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
  2. Right-click the PivotTable list, and then click Commands and Options.
  3. Click the Behavior tab.
  4. Select or clear the Toolbar check box.

Note  Displaying the toolbar in the design program also makes the toolbar available in the browser. To ensure that users cannot redisplay the toolbar in the browser, you must make the Commands and Options dialog box unavailable because the dialog box includes a command to redisplay the toolbar. You must also hide the title bar to prevent access to the shortcut menu command to display the toolbar. Hiding the title bar does not prevent access to some of the commands provided on the toolbar. These commands will still be available from the shortcut menus for fields, items of data, and other selections, unless you hide them by using a script.
