- In the design window, make sure the PivotTable list is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
- On the toolbar, click Commands and Options , and then click the Behavior tab.
- Do one of the following:
Change the height or width of the control
- Clear the Auto fit the control check box.
- Place the pointer on one of the selection handles of the PivotTable list, and then drag the pointer in the direction you want.
Automatically resize the control on a Web page to fit its contents
- Select the Auto fit the control check box.
- If you want to prevent the PivotTable list from expanding beyond a specified size, type a value in pixels in the Maximum height box and/or the Maximum width box.
Note Scroll bars appear within the PivotTable list when more data is available than will fit in the area.
Change the width of a column in the row, column, detail, or data area
- In the design window, make sure the PivotTable list is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
- Point to the right boundary of the field label until the pointer changes to .
- Do one of the following:

To increase or decrease the width, drag the boundary until the column is the width you want.

To make the column width fit the contents, double-click the column boundary.

Note You cannot adjust the height of the rows in a PivotTable list.
