Install LANSA on Linux

6. Install LANSA for the Web Apache Module

If you want to use a web server on Linux then you will need to install the LANSA for the Web Apache Module. Following are instructions for this installation.

Supported Platforms:

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.X (x86_64)

Supported Web Server:

  • Apache Version: 2.2.x

Note: Apache worker MPMLANSA for the Web Apache Module supports both Apache MPMs prefork (single-threaded and usually the default) and worker (multi-threaded). However, LANSA/Open connection pooling capability is only available for the worker MPM. So it is highly recommended that you use the worker MPM.
To use the worker MPM in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server, change the setting HTTPD to refer to the Apache daemon named httpd.worker instead of the default httpd, by editing the following file:
/etc/sysconfig/httpd
