This guide provides instructions for installing LANSA software on the Linux platform. During the installation you may install:
LANSA for Linux
LANSA Integrator
the LANSA Apache Module.
The contents are written for technical support staff and LANSA developers and assume that readers have a solid understanding of both the Linux operating system and LANSA.
How to install or configure a Linux operating system or any other prerequisite software is beyond the scope of this guide. It is assumed that all the prerequisite software is loaded and configured.
It is assumed that an experienced System Administrator (root user) of the Linux system is available to carry out system administration tasks and advise the reader on operating system issues.
It is also assumed that an ORACLE Database Administrator (DBA) is available to create and configure databases, create user ids and advise the reader on ORACLE issues.
We recommend the use of the Korn shell (ksh) or Bourne shell (sh). All example Linux commands in this guide use the Korn shell.
