4 1 Allow Users Access to LANSA

Install LANSA on Linux

4.1 Allow Users Access to LANSA

When you first start using LANSA for Linux, you may decide to use the LANSA owner as your Linux login for testing, and your LANSA Table Owner user id(s) to connect to the database.

When you are ready to move to production, you will probably want to create Linux and ORACLE user ids for each user or group. Even if you do not want to have a unique ORACLE and Linux user id for each user, you should create at least one separate Linux and ORACLE user id that only has permissions to execute the application and view and modify data.

4.1.1 Add a new ORACLE User Id

4.1.2 Add a new Linux User Id

4.1.3 Prepare for executing x_run batch jobs
