4 2 1 Configure LANSA Communications

Install LANSA on Linux

4.2.1 Configure LANSA Communications

The Linux Configuration chapter in the LANSA Communications Setup Guide explains when and how to make these modifications.

If you need to change the port of the LANSA listener from the default of 4545, remember to modify the client's Communication Identifier field to use the new port number.

lroute.dat

The lroute.dat file shipped with the LANSA installation is just to get you started. To enable tracing or add host routes, etc. you need to replace or modify the lroute.dat file.

listen.dat

The listen.dat file installed with the LANSA installation is just to get you started. To enable encryption, logging and tracing, etc. you need to replace or modify the listen.dat file.

lansa.ini

On Windows, configuration items for LANSA Communications are maintained in the LANSA Communications Administrator and stored in the registry on Windows.

On Linux, these configuration items are stored in the lansa.ini file, which is located by default in the $LANSAXROOT directory. The lansa.ini file uses the.ini file format used before there was a registry in Windows.

Note: Always stop the listener before modifying/replacing the lroute.dat, listen.dat or lansa.ini files, and then restart the listener.
