Work with a data sheet
If you created your chart by typing data into a data sheet, you can use these procedures to work with data sheets.
- In the design window, make sure the chart is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
- On the toolbar, click Commands and Options , and then click the General tab.
- Under General commands, click Chart Workspace in the Select list.
- Click the Data Sheet tab.
- Do one or more of the following:
Note You can enter category or series labels in the first column or first row of the data sheet.
- Select a cell in the data sheet.
- Type the data you want to enter in the cell.
- Press ENTER to enter the data and move the cell selection down, or press the TAB key to enter the data and move the cell selection to the right.
- Click Clear Data Sheet .
Change category rows to series rows, or series rows to category rows
- Click By Row - By Column .
- Select the data you want to copy, either in the data sheet or in another program.
- Click Copy .
- Select the cell in the upper-left corner of where you want to paste the data.
- Click Paste .
Note Pasted data will overwrite existing content in cells.
