Select Features to Update Extents dialog box (OSE)

Use the Select Features To Update Extents dialog box to specify the features that determine the extents of the area to be indexed.

This will replace the current extents with the extents of the selected features. You can continue, but you may have to wait for AutoCAD Map 3D to recalculate the indexes for the new extents. To keep the existing extents, click Cancel.

If you are managing the USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA view yourself, for example, by using an 'area of interest' extents, you should not use the Update Extents option because it overwrites the values in USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA.

NoteAutoCAD Map 3D offers a new way of using data from an Oracle database. See Accessing Data from Oracle. However the Oracle Spatial (OSE) method is still supported.
