Quadrature Error

In a quadrature modulated (QM) system, quadrature error, also referred to as quadrature skew, describes a complex signal impairment such that the I and Q components are not perfectly orthogonal. Quadrature error can be either positive or negative, with the sign indicating the orientation of the error.
