niDCPower Configure Voltage Limit Range

Configures the voltage limit range for the specified channel(s). The configured range defines the valid values the voltage limit can be set to using the niDCPower Configure Voltage Limit VI. The voltage limit range setting is applicable only if the channel is set to the DC Current output function using the niDCPower Configure Output Function VI.

Use the Voltage Limit Autorange property to enable automatic selection of the voltage limit range.

cstr.gif channel name specifies to which output channel(s) to apply this configuration value. You can specify multiple channels by using a channel list or a channel range. A channel list is a comma (,) separated sequence of channel names (e.g. 0,2 specifies channels 0 and 2). A channel range is a lower bound channel followed by a hyphen (-) or colon (:) followed by an upper bound channel (e.g. 0-2 specifies channels 0, 1, and 2). In Immediate mode, multiple output channel configurations are performed sequentially based on the order specified in this parameter.
cdbl.gif voltage limit range specifies the voltage limit range, in volts, on the specified channel(s).

NI PXI-4110

Channel Voltage Limit Range (V) Voltage Limit (V)
0 6 0 to +6
1, 2 20 0 to +20

NI PXI-4130

Channel Voltage Limit Range (V) Voltage Limit (V)
0 6 0 to +6
1 6 0 to +6
20 0 to +20

Note  If a range other than what is listed in the preceding table is selected, it will be coerced to the next-highest range. For example, requesting the 10 V voltage limit range on Channel 1 on the NI-PXI 4130 coerces the voltage limit range to 20 V. Refer to the Ranges topic in the NI DC Power Supplies and SMUs Help for more information about coercion.

ccclst.gif error in (no error) describes error conditions that occur before this VI runs.
cbool.gif status is TRUE (X) if an error occurred before this VI ran or FALSE (checkmark) to indicate a warning or that no error occurred before this VI ran. The default is FALSE.
ci32.gif code is the error or warning code. The default is 0. If status is TRUE, code is a negative error code. If status is FALSE, code is 0 or a warning code.
cstr.gif source describes the origin of the error or warning and is, in most cases, the name of the VI that produced the error or warning. The default is an empty string.
iio.gif instrument handle out passes the handle used to identify the session in all subsequent NI-DCPower VI calls.
icclst.gif error out contains error information. If error in indicates that an error occurred before this VI ran, error out contains the same error information. Otherwise, it describes the error status that this VI produces.
ibool.gif status is TRUE (X) if an error occurred or FALSE (checkmark) to indicate a warning or that no error occurred.
ii32.gif code the error or warning code. If status is TRUE, code is a non-zero error code. If status is FALSE, code is 0 or a warning code.
istr.gif source describes the origin of the error or warning and is, in most cases, the name of the VI that produced the error or warning.
