Connection Diagrams
The Connection Diagram tool in the DAQ Assistant can create either text or HTML reports of the connections from each sensor to the connector block.
Viewing Connection Diagrams
To view a connection diagram from within the DAQ Assistant, click Connection Diagram. Select each virtual channel in the task to view connections from sensor to connector block. The connections list displays each of the connections in text format, specifying terminal names and numbers.
Use the Save as HTML option in the Connection Diagram tool to generate an HTML report of your task. The report contains the following items:
- List of virtual channels in the task
- Physical channels
- Device types
- Measurement types
- Connection diagrams
To save a connection diagram, click Save as HTML and enter a name for the HTML file. An images subdirectory is created that contains all of the connection diagram images. Use a web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer to display and print the HTML report.
