Opening the DAQ Assistant in LabWindows/CVI

To open the DAQ Assistant, select Tools»Create/Edit DAQmx Tasks.

In the Create/Edit DAQmx Tasks dialog box, you can choose to create a task in MAX or in the LabWindows/CVI project. You must use MAX to create global virtual channels for use in LabWindows/CVI. For information about the differences between creating a task in the project or in MAX, refer to the LabWindows/CVI Help.

You also can create a MAX-based task in LabWindows/CVI when you select New Task from the Task Name control in the DAQmxLoadTask function panel.

After opening the DAQ Assistant, create the new task.
