Measuring Custom Voltage with Excitation
This measurement type allows you to use sensors that are not explicitly supported by NI-DAQmx and require voltage excitation, such as bridge sensors, load cells, and pressure transducers. Typically, you use this measurement type with SCXI modules that include an excitation source and configure a custom scale to convert the voltage the sensor returns to the units you want to measure.
For sensors that are not explicitly supported by NI-DAQmx and do not require any excitation, use the voltage measurement type with a custom scale. For sensors that are not supported by NI-DAQmx and require current excitation, use the voltage measurement type with a custom scale, and use the AI excitation DAQmx Channel properties to configure the excitation.
