Establece o devuelve un valor String que representa la ruta de acceso y/o nombre de archivo que se muestra inicialmente en un cuadro de diálogo de archivos. Lectura/Escritura.

Comentarios

Puede utilizar los caracteres comodín '*' (asterisco) e '?' (interrogación) al especificar el nombre de archivo, pero no al especificar la ruta de acceso. '*' (asterisco) representa cualquier número de caracteres consecutivos e '?' (interrogación) un solo carácter. Por ejemplo, .InitialFileName = "c:\c*s.txt" devolverá "charts.txt" y "checkregister.txt."

Si especifica la ruta de acceso sin el nombre del archivo, aparecerán todos los archivos que pasan el filtro de archivos en el cuadro de diálogo.

Si especifica un archivo que se encuentra en la carpeta de inicio, sólo aparecerá este archivo en el cuadro de diálogo.

Si especifica un nombre de archivo que no está en la carpeta de inicio, en el cuadro de diálogo no aparecerá ningún archivo. El tipo de archivo que especifique en la propiedad InitialFileName sobrescribirá los valores del filtro de archivos.

Si especifica una ruta de acceso no válida, se utilizará la última que haya utilizado. Un mensaje advertirá al usuario de que se ha utilizado una ruta de acceso no válida.

Si se establece esta propiedad en una cadena superior a 256 caracteres se producirá un error de tiempo de ejecución.

El ejemplo siguiente muestra un cuadro de diálogo Selector de archivos mediante el objeto File Dialog, así como cada archivo seleccionado en un cuadro de mensaje.
