Equalize the height and width of rows and columns
If you have a table of varying row heights and column widths, you can equalize the width or height of selected rows or columns.
- In Page view, at the bottom of the document window, click Design .
- Do one or both of the following:
- Place the insertion point in a column where the rows are uneven.
- On the Table menu, point to Select, and then click Column.
- On the Tables toolbar, click Distribute Rows Evenly .
If the Tables toolbar is hidden, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Tables.
- Place the insertion point in a row where the columns are uneven.
- On the Table menu, point to Select, and then click Row.
- On the Tables toolbar, click Distribute Columns Evenly .
If the Tables toolbar is hidden, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Tables.
